Meet our 2023-24 Student Leaders!
Alyssa Calabrese
Hi, my name is Alyssa Calabrese, I am a senior at Canton High. This is my third year on the Leadership Team. This year I will be serving as a Co-Manager. I have loved being a part of SJ5K because being able to see the differences we can make. Outside of SJ5K, I am involved in NHS, Giving Hearts, along with being Secretary for Canton Congress and a double varsity captain for the Golf and Tennis teams. I cannot wait to see where this year takes us!
Fiona Dragan
Hi! I'm Fiona Dragan and I am a senior at Plymouth High School. This is my third year being a member of the SJ5k and I'm very excited to be this year's secretary and head of storytelling. I love being a part of the SJ5k and seeing the impact we make on the community and the families. Outside of the SJ5k I run cross country and track. I cannot wait to see what we can accomplish this year!
Samantha Jost
Hi! I’m Samantha Jost, a junior at Plymouth High School. This will be my third year with the SJ5K, and I’m thrilled to be this year’s head of social media and video! I love being part of the SJ5K because it’s a great way to show love and support to the extraordinary families in our community. Seeing the positive effect we have every year is so amazing and rewarding! Outside of SJ5K, I’m involved in Link Crew, Warriors for a Healthy Mind, and NHS, as well as field hockey and soccer. I’m looking forward to another great year!
Riya kalapurakkal
Hi! My name is Riya Kalapurakkal and I’m a junior at Plymouth High School. This will be my second year in SJ5K and I am so excited to be head of fundraising and blast week! I love seeing the impact we make onto families while bringing our community together. Outside of SJ5K, I am a part of Plymouth Congress, Interact, NHS, and Link Crew. I can’t wait for another great year!
Abby Kolb
Hello! My name is Abby Kolb and I am a senior at Canton High School. This is my third year with the SJ5K and I am one of the heads of Logistics. The race has always held a special place in my heart because it’s so heartwarming to see the community come together. Outside of the SJ5K, I am a competitive dancer and I am also a part of my class council. I cannot wait for another year of meeting new people and sharing their experiences.
Gabi Lopez
Hi, I’m Gabi Lopez and I am a junior at Canton High School. I’ve been involved with the SJ5K for a few years and I’m so excited to be the leader of Family Care this year. I’m so grateful to be a part of the SJ5K and I love seeing our community come together and support such amazing families every year. Outside of SJ5K I am a part of Canton Student Council, PCEP Warriors for a Healthy Mind, PCEP Unified Sports, Canton Cheerleading, and have been an Allstar Cheerleader for 12 years. I can’t wait to see all the things the SJ5K will accomplish this year and help make it the best SJ5K yet!
Elizabeth marten
Hi, I am Elizabeth Marten, and I am a senior at Salem. This will be my third year in the SJ5K club and fifth year participating in the race. I am so excited to lead the Family Gifts committee this year. I love seeing the positive impact SJ5K has on the families and the community. Outside of SJ5K, I am on Salem pom and track as well as NHS, Link Crew, Key Club and Student Council. I can’t wait for another great year!
Venkat Nalamothu
Hi, my name is Venkat Nalamothu, and I am a senior at Salem High School. I have been part of the SJ5K club for the past 4 years, and ran the race for the past 5. This year, I will be a Co-Manager for the club. Over the past few years, I have seen how the SJ5K affects not only the families, but also the community, bringing people together and changing their lives. Outside of the SJ5K club, I am a part of STEM Council and Salem Congress. I’m very excited to see what we can accomplish this year!
Isabelle Prantera
Hi! My name is Isabelle Prantera and I am a junior at Salem High School. This is my third year being a member of SJ5K and my second on the leadership team. I am very excited to be this year's head of print media! I love being part of SJ5k because of the impact it makes on families in our community going through an extremely difficult time. Outside of SJ5k, I am involved in NHS, a member of Salem Congress, and a member of Link Crew. Additionally, I play varsity soccer for Salem and club soccer. I can’t wait for a great year and to see what we accomplish!
Laney Seidel
Hi, I’m Laney Seidel and I am a junior at Plymouth High School. This is my second year being apart of the SJ5K team and am very excited to be this years head of family events. I love seeing the positive impact this race has on our community. Apart from SJ5K, I am a competitive dancer and I am involved in National Honor Society and Link Crew. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish this year!
Ashley Vladu
Hi! My name is Ashley Vladu and I am a senior at Salem High School. I’ve been a member of the SJ5K Club for three years and will be one of the Logistics heads this year. I’ve been participating in the race since 5th grade and have always loved seeing the impact it has. I’m looking forward to this year’s race and helping the community!
